Hi everyone back home in Singapore!
We have arrived safely in Laos and checked into our hotel. Today we went to many different places. It is a bit rushed, that's why I did not post yesterday. I will put up a more detailed post later.
Love you from Vientiane, Laos :)
PS. No photos because hotel wireless is too slow.

The holidays are here
Finally, all my modules have ended and the holidays have started. The last three weeks have been hellishly hectic with doing interviews and powerpoint presentations. Enough is enough! I'm going to stretch my legs and relax for now.
I've got a job as a librarian at my secondary school that will give me something to do during the holidays. And my new iPhone arrived yesterday. To all the folks in T108, happy holidays!

Trip to the Zoo
My family and I, together with our neignbours went to the zoo yesterday. The zoo was quite empty due to the rain. My father had a membership card from his company that allowed free entry. To save more money, we took our own food and drinks.
We were eager to see how the white tigers were doing after the horrific incident last month. They appeared fine. We had our lunch or nasi lemak and sandwiches at the elephants' exhibit. The elephants were having their lunch as well. The other important attraction that we went to see was Rainforest Kidzworld. Finally we have a proper kids' attraction to replace the dilapidated Children's World Playland. We took a long break there and enjoyed some Ben and Jerry's ice cream. We also managed to catch two animal shows, Rainforest Fights Back! and Splash Safari Show.
We ended our visit with a second look at the white tigers and were pleasantly surprised to see them frolicking and splashing about in the moat. Then we left the zoo just before closing time to catch the crowded 138 bus back to Ang Mo Kio.

Week Six
Week Six has just ended. I have already completed several assignments and projects. Overall, I would say that this semester is more theory-based than the first one which was mostly practical.
Aaron introduced me to Warcraft 3 last Tuesday. It is very fun and interesting to play. I confess that I have never been so addicted to a game before! But I play only after finishing my schoolwork.
The holidays are coming in three weeks. Nothing much to celebrate in these difficult times. My family is planning a trip to Pulau Ubin with my uncle's family. A perfect way to enjoy at a cheap price.

Obama Wins!
The US has elected its first black president, Barack Obama! As an Obama supporter since 2007, I am happy that his vision of hope and change. This exhilaration is a welcome relief from the many assignments burdening me now. We are nearly halfway through this term.

New Semester
It's great to be back in school. The new lecturers are quite nice. Generally, the modules feel lighter than last semester. I hope I can do better this semester.
